This is an Anasazi style black on white seed jar, painted with organic paint.
Seed jar were fairly common in the prehistoric record and often were fixed with lids of bark or other pieces of pottery to keep the seeds or grains safe from rodents.

All of my pottery is hand made from wild harvested clay, hand painted with either organic or mineral paints using a yucca brush. I fire the pots in a trench-pit fire. All materials used are collected and refined by me.
